Mrs. Cynthia Gale "Cindy" (Balchin) Sims, 56, of Carnesville, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at her home.
Born May 16, 1961, in Seneca, SC, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Ethel Elizabeth (Smith) Balchin. She was owner and operator of Outreach Kennels and was a member of Love Outreach Ministries. She loved her family and the Lord.
She is survived by her husband: Dennis Ray Sims; children: Tonya Thrasher, Kennith Sims, Brandi Morton, Cecil Broome & Kimberley Dyar; sisters: Eve Thrift, Debra Lee & Ruth Jones; and 14 grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Ellison officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home. Flowers are optional or donations may be made to her husband to help cover medical and funeral cost.
