Mr. William Dale Byrum, 78, of the Rock Springs Community, Lavonia, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at the Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

Born on June 17, 1946 in Lavonia, GA, he was the son of the late William Floyd Byrum and Myrtice Gray Byrum. Dale was a security guard for Tenneco Automotive, and a member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his friends & family, and loved watching Georgia football games.

Survivors include his two sisters: twin Gail Manley of Lavonia and Thelma Doker of Hartwell; two nephews: Herschel Dale Manley of Hartwell and William Wayne Manley (Tanya) of Martin, GA; two nieces: Teresa Berardesco (Bobby) and Pat Richardson, all of Hartwell; two close friends: Marvin Shiflet and Eddie Carey; and several great nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Byrum is preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Floyd Eugene Byrum; and one niece: Tonya Manley Jordan.

The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Services for Mr. Dale Byrum will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Terry James and Rev. Ricky Hix officiating. It was Mr. Byrum's wishes to be cremated following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rock Springs Baptist Church, 2229 Rock Springs Rd, Lavonia, GA 30553.
