Brenda Dale Powell Roberts fondly remembered as Dale, was a beacon of light and strength, embodying the essence of living life to the fullest. Born in Duluth, GA, on May 10, 1950, to Samuel M. and Imogene Johnson Powell, Dale transformed from a bashful middle child into an outgoing, compassionate soul, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Dale's career spanned over three decades at the Gwinnett Hospital System in Human Resources, where she was renowned for her unwavering commitment and genuine approach. Even after her diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease in 1995, Dale's perseverance shone through. Her affinity for the beach, tending her flower gardens, and relishing the tranquility of nature and fishing, particularly at the cherished lake house shared with her husband, Tim, was a testament to her tenacious spirit.

Her transition was preceded by her parents, Sam and Imogene Powell, and siblings, Sam R. Powell and Dottie Gilstrap. Her legacy continues through her husband, Tim Roberts of Lavonia, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Trish and Robb Francetich of Grayson, GA; son, Neil Jones of Dacula, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Webster and Brenda Cole of Woodstock, GA; sister-in-law, Peggy Powell of Cleveland, GA; and brother and sister-in-law, Benny and Vicky Roberts of Lula, GA. Her memory is also cherished by many adoring family members and friends.

Dale's transition on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at her home in Lavonia, was as peaceful as the life she so gracefully led. In celebrating her life, we find solace in believing that our paths will cross again. Dale's memory, a tapestry of love, unwavering courage, and an unrelenting zest for life, will continue to inspire us.
