Mr. Dan Howard Womack, 88, of Jud Cole Road, Bowersville, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 at Hart Care Center.

Born on November 18, 1932 in Decatur GA, he was the son of the late Charles Womack and Edna Smith Womack.Mr. Womack was a self-employed brick mason.

Survivors include three sons: Steve Womack of Hartwell, Brian Womack and Jeff Womack both of Bowersville; a daughter: Angela Dalton of Clarkston GA; a sister: Hallie Cruse of Monroe GA; ten grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also survive.Mr. Womack was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Shirley Payne Womack; one son: Lee Womack; one daughter: Susan Marie Womack; five brothers: James Womack, Eugene Womack, Harold Womack, Cliff Womack and Neal Womack and a sister: Rebecca Maddox.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mr. Dan Womack will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 105 West Park Drive, Suite C, Athens GA 30606.
