Ms. Dana Leanne Holbrook Barnes, 25, of 29 Shoal Creek Rd, Lavonia, died Wednesday, December 29 at Hart Co. Hospital.

Born on April 16, 1985 in Athens GA, she was a Front Desk Clerk at Sleep Inn of Lavonia and an apprentice at Celestial Ink of Martin.

Survivors include her parents, Dannie Lee and Dianne Kidd Holbrook of Lavonia; daughter, Haley Grace Barnes of the home; sister, Danilee Holbrook of Lavonia; two half-sisters, Denise Smith of Ellijay GA and Vikki Holbrook of Blue Ridge GA; maternal grandparents, Tom and Martha Kidd of Dewy Rose also survive.Ms. Holbrook was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Charles Herring and Jo Ann Kidd; paternal grandmother, Alma Long and great-grandparents, Norman and Minnie Holbrook.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 1, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Doug Brown officiating.Burial will be in the Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon.The family is at the home.The family requests that memorials be made to defray funeral expenses.
