Danny Arnold Elrod, age 69, of Lavonia, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the home of his daughter.
He was born June 22, 1951, in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Max and Rosalee (Allen) Elrod. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Mike Elrod and Jimmy Elrod and granddaughter: Kelsy Martin. Prior to retirement he worked as a surveyor with Tyson & Associates. Danny was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children: Tina Jones, Brooke Elrod, Dana Seymour, Zach Elrod, Christie Elrod and; grandchildren: Emma, Ella, Skyler, Cadence, Max, Hannah, Harley, Hank, Hallie, Kailey, Tyson, & Molly; siblings: Carol Fulbright, Sammy Elrod, and Joel Elrod; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private family service Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia. Due to the community health crisis no visitation or public service will be held at this time.
