Mr. Danny Ray Halligan, 74, of Old Reed Creek Road, Hartwell, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Elbert Memorial Hospital.

Born on November 3, 1949 in Hazelhurst GA, he was the son of the late Ray Halligan and Juanita McClendon Halligan.  Mr. Halligan was a maintenance supervisor for Cracker Barrel and of the Baptist Faith.  He was also a U. S. Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include a son: Mark Halligan (Crystal) of Cleveland GA; a daughter: Leigh Anne King (Russell) of Hartwell and two grandchildren: Maddie and Micah Halligan.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother: David Halligan and a sister: Jan Halligan.

Mr. Halligan wished to be cremated and a memorial service will be held Monday, May 13, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at the Woodlawn Baptist Church at 4219 Hwy. 254 in Cleveland, GA.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
