Danny Hobbs, 73, of Hartwell, GA went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, surrounded by his family.

Danny was born in Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Adam Zane.

His pride and joy were his family. He is survived by his wife, of 54 years, Marci Hobbs, children: Brenda (Stewart) Zane, Julie (David) Todd, Tommy (Jennifer) Hobbs, George Hobbs; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, and a sister, Carol Hammock.

Danny was a semi-retired sales executive from Trans-Dynamics of Atlanta.

A memorial service will be held, followed by visitation on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church of Hartwell, GA., where he served as a deacon.In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Mt. Olivet Baptist Youth and Children's Ministry.
