Mr. Daniel Barton "Danny" Roach, 79, of Hartwell, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Spring Valley Nursing Home in Elberton, GA.

Born on February 2, 1943 in Royston, GA, he was the son of the late Belton Roach and Vera Woods Roach. Mr. Roach worked in the Maintenance Department at Monroe/Tenneco for 42 years. He was also a member of the Hartwell Church of God and the Hartwell Golf Club where he loved to play several times a week. Mr. Roach was also a veteran of the Georgia Army National Guard where he served for 23 years.

Survivors include his son: Howard Adams of Hartwell; grandsons: Chris and Chad Adams; and one great grandson: Zachary Adams. Mr. Roach is preceded in death by his parents; wife: Pansy M. "Pat" Smith Roach; brother: Kenneth Roach; and sister: Darlene Hendrix.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mr. Danny Roach will be held Saturday, January 28, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Johnny Stowe and Rev. Josh Cash officiating.  Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
