Mrs. Darlene Timms Turner, 52, of 55 Cunningham Dr, Hartwell, died Sunday, December 26 at Athens Regional Medical Center.

Born on April 20, 1958 in Duluth GA, she was the daughter of Johnnie Brown Cleveland of Hartwell and the late T. Fant Timms.She was a Second Grade Teacher at South Hart Elementary School and a graduate of Brenau University and Piedmont College.She was a member of the Nancy Hart Order of the Eastern Star, the Hartwell First Baptist Church and the Bond of Love Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her mother; husband, Brain J. Turner of Elberton; a sister, Connie Rice and her husband John of Hartwell; nieces and nephews, Chelsea Rice McKelvey and Seth McKelvey, Mark and Amber Turner, Turner, Liza and Brooks Banks also survive.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 30 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hartwell First Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Williams and Rev. Carter Tucker officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Eastern Star Rites. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night.The family is at their respective homes.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the Loran Smith Center for Cancer Support, 1199 Prince Ave, Athens GA 30606
