Mr. Darrel Wesley Gibson, age 55, of Bowersville, died Monday, July 9, 2012 at his home.
Born July 22, 1956, in Franklin County, he was the son of Audrey Walters Gibson and the late Horace Lee Gibson. He was a graduate of Hart County High School and of the Church of God faith.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children: Corey Gibson, Tonya Gibson, Leanne Saxon, and Crystal Saxon; and five grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Kendall Scott officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to defray funeral expenses. In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Gibson will be cremated.
