Darrell Mitchell Chambers, age 64, of Lavonia, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens.

Born July 6, 1957 in Dayton, OH, he was the son of the late Oliver Lyman and Ruth Lee Clifton Chambers.He was also preceded in death by his brother, David M Chambers. He grew up in Lebanon, Ohio and graduated from Lebanon High School.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years: Nanette Sue "Nan" Chambers; children: Justin "JT" Chambers (Shannon), Heather Chambers and Joe Chambers (Anna); granddaughter: Taylor Chambers; siblings: Dan L. Chambers and Donna Chambers Schmitz.

Over his life, he worked in the oilfield in Texas, and as a carpenter in Ohio and Montana. He worked for the Home Depot as an expediter and used his carpentry skills to install doors and window. He was the Owner of Rivers Edge Construction in Montana to wrap up his working years.

He was a dedicated family man who never met a stranger and touched a lot of lives during his time in Ohio, Texas, Montana, Colorado, and Georgia.

Mr. Chambers' request was to be cremated. The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later time both in Georgia and in Montana.
