Mr. Michael Darrell Wood, 59, of Bowersville Hwy, Bowersville, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024 in Myrtle Beach SC.

Born on June 6, 1965 in Royston GA, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Wood and Mary Elizabeth Patterson Wood.  Darrell was a truck driver for Turner Concrete Company in Lavonia and a member of the Lavonia Church of God.  Darrell loved Hunting, Fishing, NASCAR, and his beloved Dog "Charlie".

Survivors include his wife: Kathryn Greenway Wood, a son: Joseph Wood (Breanna) of Elberton; two daughters: Rebecca Martinez (Nickolas) and Mary Bell (Cody) all of Bowersville; a granddaughter: Adalyn Bell; a brother: Kenneth Wood (Renee); a sister: Sheila Moncrief (Phillip) all of Bowersville and several nieces and nephews. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Larry Wood.

The family will receive friends Monday, July 22, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at the home of Rebecca & Nicholas Martinez, 6161 Bowersville Hwy, Bowersville.

Funeral services for Mr. Darrell Wood will be Tuesday, July 23 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Tony Franks officiating.  Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
