Mr. David Alfred Ayers, 56, of 1130 B. Bailey Road, Hartwell, GA, died Sunday, September 23, 2007 at his home.

Born October 9, 1950 in Franklin County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Tom Watson Ayers.He was the Co-Owner of A & W Homes, and attended the River of Life Church.

He is survived by:Mother, Marie Cantrell Ayers of Canon, GA; Wife, Bert Herbstreit Ayers of the home; Son, Shane Ayers of Royston, GA; Daughters, Stacey Alford of Royston, GA, Cindy Campbell of Royston, GA, Cheryl Morris of Hartwell, GA, Kim Head of Hartwell, GA, Tina Holmes of Hartwell, GA, And Stanelle Voss of Oklahoma City, OK; Brothers, Doug Ayers ofCanon and Watson Ayers of Royston, GA; Sister, Patsy Pagan of Atlanta, GA; 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren also survive.He was preceded in death by father, Brother, Jimmy Ayers and a Sister, Ruth Andrews.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, GA.Rev. Ken Buffington will officiate.Cremation will follow the service.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 – 8:00 p.m.The family is at the home.Memorials may be made in Memory of David at Pinnacle Bank.
