Rev. Charles David Bailey, 56, of 89 H N Ayers Rd, Hartwell, died Saturday, February18, 2012 at Hart County Hospital.
Born on May 8, 1955 in Royston GA, he was the son of Charles W. Bailey and the late Alice Holmes.He was a member of the Bowersville Church of God, and also active in area nursing homes preaching and singing.
Survivors include his father, Charles W. Bailey of Bowersville, two sons, Devin Bailey, and Terry Bailey both of Hartwell, one daughter, Tara Bailey of Hartwell, three brothers, Dennis King of Bowersville, Wesley King of Elberton, and Mathew Holmes of Hartwell, one sister, Susan Huff of Hartwell. Three Grandchildren also survive.Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Gettis Allen, and Rev. Greg Teasley officiating.Burial will follow in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday.The family is at the home of Charles Bailey, 143 Bailey Garage Rd. BowersvilleGA.
