Obituary
Mr. David Cromer Harris, age 73, of Lavonia, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born September 29, 1946, in Stephens County, he was a son of the late J. D. & Dollie Mae (Buffington) Harris. He was a graduate of Lavonia High School and retired from GEM Southeast in Toccoa. Mr. Harris was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Chad D. Harris; brothers: Robert Harris, J. C. Harris, J. D. Harris, Jr., and Joe Bill Harris; and sisters: Dorothy "Dot" Vaughn, Josephine Vaughn, Ruth Thomas, Janet Hamby, and Mary Hawkins.
He is survived by his wife: Jean (Chapman) Harris; daughter & son-in-law: Gena & Ken Norris; grandchildren: Casey Norris, Blake Norris, and Bailey Harris; brother: Jimmy Ray Harris; sisters: Elene Crider and Alice Mullinix; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Harris will be cremated and the family will plan a memorial service at a later date.
