David Mathew Kreft, Sr., age 69, of Martin, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023, at his home.

Born July 19, 1954, in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Harold Kreft and Frances Horn Giese. Before retirement he worked as a warehouse manager for Wellstone. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Peggy Giese.

He is survived by his wife: Darlina S. Kreft; sons and daughters-in-law: David Mathew Kreft, Jr. (Cheryl) and Daniel Michael Kreft (Elizabeth); grandchildren: David Mathew Kreft, III, (Alexis), Chris Brown (Brianna), Amy Kreft, Chloe Kreft, Joshua Kreft, Jayden Kreft & Jacy Kreft; great grandchildren: Summer, Autumn and Lillie; and a brother: Charles Lostroscio.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the Lavonia City-Burgess Cemetery. The family will greet friends after the service.
