Mr. David S. Leverette, 75, of Cedar Lane, Hartwell, died Friday, September 12, 2014 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born on April 25, 1939 in Schenectady NY, he was the son of the late Paul B. Leverette and Eleanor Moore Leverette.Mr. Leverette was a graduate of Clemson University and Perdue University and retired from the Royston Corporation, where he was a special projects manager.He was a member of the Friendship Force of Lake Hartwell, a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife: Mary L. Leverette of the home; two sons: Bill Leverette of Mauldin SC and Bob Leverette of Hillsborough NC; a daughter: Cindy Aldridge of South Port NC and four grandchildren: Keila & Sarah Leverette and Bailey & Carson Aldridge.Mr. Leverette was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Paul Leverette.
A memorial mass will be held at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church on Saturday, September 20, at 1:00 pm.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 1009 Benson Street, Hartwell GA 30643 or to the Susan B. Komen for the Cure, 3525 Piedmont Road 5-215, Atlanta, GA 30305.
