Mr. David J. Owens, 50, of 128 Harbin Road, Hartwell, GA, died Wednesday, February 04, 2009 at his home.
Born December 24, 1958 in Anderson County, SC, he was the son of the late Robert J. Owens and Macie Crider Owens Rowland.He was employed with Beele Pipeline Company.
He is survived by:Wife, Debbie Harbin Owens of the home; Daughters, Kayla Owens and Karen Owens of the home; Sisters, Peggy Burgess of Hartwell, GA and Glenda DeGrave of Hartwell, GA.He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Owens.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Kagey Barrow will officiate.Burial will be in the Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Thursday night from 7 – 9:00 p.m.The family is at the home.Family requests no flowers; Memorials may be made to help with medical expenses.
