Mrs. Deborah Marett Carey, 57, of 1789 B. Bailey Rd., Hartwell, GA, died on Monday, September 20, 2010 at her home.
Born September 17, 1953 in Franklin Co., GA, she is the daughter of Claudine Reed Marett of Hartwell, GA and the late Alton Marett.She was employed with the Hartwell Company for a number of years and was self employed as a painter.
She is survived by:mother; Husband, Eddie Carey of the home; son, Ryan Carey and his wife Elizabeth of Hartwell, GA; stepson, Michael Carey and his wife Misty of Braselton, GA; brother, Stevie Marett of Hartwell, GA and grandchildren, Madison Carey, Zachary Woods, Peyton Carey of Hartwell, GA, Chase, Gracie and Bryce Carey of Braselton, GA.She was preceded in death by her father; a daughter, Allison Cooper; brother, Dexter Marett and a sister, Peggy Carter.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Rev. Jim Carey and Mr. Fred Greenway will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.The family is at the home.
