Mrs. Debra Linto Mercer, 70, of Shoal Creek Community, Lavonia, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital, Athens GA.

Born on November 2, 1954 in Sylvania GA, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Linto and Doris Pryor Linto.  Debra was a retired machine operator at Coats America and of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include her husband: Richard Mercer; two sons: Tim Mercer (Lisa) of Hartwell, Terry Mercer of Lavonia; two brothers: Johnny Linto Jr. of Lula GA, James Kenneth Linto of Hartwell; one sister: JoAnn Crabtree of Mobile AL; two grandchildren: Austin Mercer and Jessica Mercer. Mrs. Mercer was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: Randy Linto and one sister: Darlene Linto.

Debra wished to be cremated and a service will be held at a later date by the family.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
