Dell Dempsey Simpson Renfroe, age 81, of Lavonia, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at his home.

Born April 27, 1943, in Columbus, GA, he was the son of the late Delma Renfroe and Gladys Dempsey Simpson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, William Simpson; and brother, William Renfroe. Dell was the owner and operator of Great South Motors in Lavonia and was of the Seventh Day Adventist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Cherie Unterseher Simpson Renfroe; daughters, Alisa (Jeffrey) Fulghum, Amy (Christopher) Condon, and Jill (Francois) Marier; sons, Ryan Simpson and Justin Simpson; siblings, Donald Renfroe and Jean Renfroe; and eleven grandchildren.

Dell was cremated in accordance with his request. The family will plan a celebration at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
