Obituary
Mrs. Delphene June Ostermeyer Lane, 92, of Lakeshore Circle, Hartwell, passed away Monday, February 17, 2020 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.
Born on April 26, 1927 in Beecher, IL, she was the daughter of the late George Ostermeyer and Marie Heneberg Ostermeyer.Mrs. Lane was co-founder of L & J Hardware and attended Sharon Presbyterian Church and Hartwell First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter: Joy Jenkins (David) of Hartwell; two grandchildren: Christopher Jenkins (Christine) and Amber Jenkins; three great-grandchildren: Lane Jenkins, Addison Jenkins and Conrad Jenkins.Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her husband: Edward "Ed" Lane.
A private memorial service celebrating Delphene's life will be held at a later date at the Garden at Sharon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sharon Presbyterian Church, 275 Sharon Church Road, Hartwell, GA 30643.
The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
