Obituary
Mr. Denmond Carlton Blomquist, age 83, of Lavonia died Friday, January 1, 2010 at Heritage Healthcare of Toccoa.
Born July 10, 1926, in Rockford, IL, he was the son of the late Harry & Ellen (Runberg) Blomquist. He was a retired electrician and a member of the Toccoa VFW. Mr. Blomquist was a veteran of the US Army, where he served during WWII.
Survivors include his wife: Charlotte Blomquist of Lavonia; daughter: Denise Blomquist of Rockford, IL; sons: Craig Blomquist of China and Gary Blomquist of Rockford, IL; grandchildren: Katherine Olsen of Chesney Park, IL, Wayne Winquist of Rockford, IL, Katrina Bunnel of Rockford, IL, Erin Williams of Philadelphia, PA, and Reid Blomquist of Greensboro, NC; and three great-grandchildren.
In accordance with Mr. Blomquist's wishes he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
