Mr. Dennis Hoyt Baker, 54, of 641 Oakcrest Drive, Hartwell, died Saturday, June 8, 2013.

Born on July 30, 1958, he is the son of Hoyt H. Baker and Ann Bowen Baker.He worked as a self-employed carpenter and was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters: Kristen Christian and Brittany Baker, both of Hartwell; one sister, Linda Smith of Salem, SC; four grandchildren: Mackenzie, Elijah, Logan, and Abigail.Mr. Baker was preceded in death by a sister, Ginger Ann Hyde.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Ken Brewer and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.Burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.

The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive family and friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.The family is at their respective homes.
