Dennis Wayne Jeffares, age 65, of Hartwell, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024, at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.

Born October 3, 1959, in Atlanta, GA, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Jeffares and Hattie Wynelle Shaw Jeffares. Prior to retirement, he worked as a truck driver for Western Distributors of Atlanta. Dennis was passionate about music and was a talented guitarist, contributing his skills as a longtime band member of the Silvercreek Band. Beyond his musical pursuits, he was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs. Above all, Dennis cherished his family and friends and was deeply devoted to his Christian faith. Dennis will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and unwavering support for those he loved.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Denise Jeffares; grandson, Tru Prince Jeffares; and brothers, Jimmy Jeffares and Tilden Jeffares.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Patty Jeffares; daughter, Jennifer Jeffares; grandchildren, Nicho Jeffares, Kaliyah Jeffares, and Fah'Siyah Jeffares; brother, Jerry Jeffares; sister, Janice Wansley; and several nieces, nephews, and other cherished family members.

A celebration of Dennis' life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 7, 2024, at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Grant Myerholtz officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the service time.
