Rev. Dennis J. Pruitt, age 68, of Pensacola, FL, passed from this life into the presence of the Lord Thursday, February 23, 2023.

Born October 13, 1954, in Commerce, GA, he was the son of Rev. Daniel & Eloise Brown Nash and the late Joel R. Pruitt. Although he retired from active pastoral ministry at the Legacy Church of God, he remained ever committed to his faith and his Lord until his faith became sight Thursday morning.

Left to celebrate his life is his wife: Merlynda Pruitt; parents: Rev. Daniel & Eloise Nash; sons: Joel Pruitt, Matthew Pruitt, and Jon Pruitt; grandchildren: Landon Pruitt, Alex Pruitt, Addison Pruitt, Riley Pruitt, Emma Rigby, and Trey Daughtry; and brother: Gary Nash.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at the Carnesville Church of God. Burial will follow in Nails Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the service. Flowers are accepted or memorial donations may be sent to Merlynda Pruitt, P.O.
