Mr. Dewey C. Carroll, 94, of Royston, GA, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024 at The Gables in Royston.

Born on May 13, 1929 in Richfield, NC, he was the son of the late Olon Carroll and Anna Wyatt Carroll.  Mr. Carroll attended Jones Business School, and was the accounting manager for the GMAC in Atlanta. He was a member of the Royston First Baptist Church, and he loved gospel music. Mr. Carroll was a US Navy veteran and served during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife of 73½ years: Mary Snider Carroll of Royston; one son: Michael Carroll (Terri) of Hartwell; four grandchildren: Andrew Carroll (Abby) of Atlanta, Alan Carroll of Atlanta, Ansley Carroll of Denver, CO, Alyson Carroll of Atlanta; and one great-grandchild: Will Carroll. Mr. Carroll is preceded in death by his parents; one son: Gregory "Greg" Carroll; and one brother: Tommy Carroll.

The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mr. Dewey Carroll will be Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
