Obituary
Mrs. Diana Kate Stines Wassilak, 80, of Hartwell, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 at her home.
Born on April 10, 1938 in Benton Harbor, MI, she was the daughter of the late Ross V. Stines and Louise McClellan Stines.Mrs. Wassilak was a homemaker and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.She was lovingly known as "Maka" by many.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years: Chester Wassilak; one daughter: Cathy Leach and her husband Buddy of Hartwell; one son: Bill Wassilak of Tulsa, OK; three grandchildren who were the joy of her life: Robert Roethel, Katie Whitmire (Jacob) and Jordan Leach.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Meeks officiating.Burial will be in her family historical section of Rochester Cemetery in Rochester, KY.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.The family is at the home.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1543 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643 or Gideon's International, Hart Co.
