Mrs. Dixie Ayers Trammell, age 83 of 1404 North Forest Avenue, Hartwell, GA., died Sunday, June 29, 2008 at Hartwell Health Care Center.

Born June 4, 1925 in Hart County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Ayers and Dessie Hall Ayers.She was a homemaker, a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church and of the Dollie Teel Sunday School Class.

She is survived by:Husband, Ralph L. Trammell of Hartwell, GA; Daughters, Carole Robertson and her husband, Jerry of Hartwell, GA, Brenda Kidd and her husband Jimmy of Hartwell, GA, Becky Miles and her husband Lee of Hazelhurst, GA and Alice Taylor and her husband Roger of Hartwell, GA; Son,Joel Trammell of Indianapolis, IN; Brother, Douglas Ayers of Anderson, SC and Sister, Alice Vernon Adams of Rockledge, FL; Ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.She is preceded in death by Parents; Sons, Ralph Donald Trammell and Raymond Ronald Trammell and Sister, Georgia Pohlman.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Rev. Joe Black will officiate. Burial will follow at Northview Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Monday night from 7 – 9:00 p.m.The family is at the home of Carole and Jerry Robertson, 3545 Anderson Highway, Hartwell, GA.Flowers are optional; Memorials may be made to Mt.
