Mrs. Dollie Roper Crittendon, 89, of Whitehall Street, Hartwell, died Saturday, August 24 at Hart Care Center.
Born on January 31, 1924 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Earl Roper and Roxie Jordan Roper.She was a retired seamstress for the Hartwell Company and a member of the Oak Bower Baptist Church, where she was a member of the WMU, Senior Adult Ladies SS Class, former SS teacher and clerk.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Snow and her husband Gaines of Hartwell; several nieces and nephews also survive.Mrs. Crittendon was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don H. Crittendon; grandson, Mitch Snow and five brothers, Jack Roper, George Roper, Joe Roper, Charles Roper and Gene Roper.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Edgar Boles, Rev. Randy Perry and Rev. Doug Goss officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Rev. Tommy Cleveland officiating.
The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday night.The family is at the home of Donna and Gaines Snow, 131 Jim Crittendon Road, Hartwell.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the Oak Bower Baptist Church Building Fund, 1589 Old Hwy 29, Hartwell GA 30643.
