Mrs. Dollie Eunice Harper Steele, 92, of Jefferson GA, formerly of Hartwell, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017 after an extended illness at her home.

Dollie was born on April 10, 1925 in Frame WV.She was a retired special technician for the Department of the Navy.Dollie was a member of the Red Hats, past member of the Moose Lodge in Elkton MD.She enjoyed ceramics and time spent with family.She was also a member of the Abundant Life Baptist Church in Hartwell GA.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Joseph A. Steele in 1988; her parents, George W. Harper and Addie Chapman Harper; a son, James L. Fouty; Sisters, Mannie Fouty, Maysel Harper, Dessie Harper and Sylvia Parsons; Brothers, Farmer Harper, Emory Harper, Elmar Harper, George W. Harper Jr., Roy Harper and Herbert Harper.

Mrs. Steele is survived by four nieces, Patricia Foster, Mary Parsons, Judy Lawson and Ruth Ann Parsons as well several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday December 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Ken Brewer officiating.Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Cherry Hill MD.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening.The family is at their respective homes.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Abundant Life Baptist Church, 12 Hart Service Road, Hartwell GA 30643.
