Mr. Dominick Thomas Capobianco, Jr., 79, of Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens GA.

Born on November 27, 1945 in Yonkers NY, he was the son of the late Dominick Capobianco Sr., and Mary Lagorda Capobianco.  Mr. Capobianco was employed by the postal service in Brooklyn NY for twenty years and was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. He also served as a US Marine veteran for twenty two years.

Survivors include his four children: Matthew Capobianco of Staten Island NY, Lauren Capobianco (Tammy) of Oldbridge NJ, Lawrence Furno (Kerry) of Holbrook NY and Sherry Kelly (Martin) of Oakdale NY; one brother: Rudolph Capobianco (Christine) of Brooklyn NY; seven grandchildren; four great- grandchildren and a nephew: Kevin Melindez and his wife, Jen, who both helped take care of him the last few years. Mr. Capobianco was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Jacqueline Luttrell Capobianco; and one sister: Mary Lou Chiarello.

Mr. Capobianco wished to be cremated and a memorial service will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Tran Pham Nguyen officiating.
