Obituary
Mr. Don Howard Kirkpatrick, 46, of 95 Kirkpatrick Lane, Hartwell, died Friday, March 7 in Jackson County Georgia.
Born on January 18, 1962 in Cobb County Georgia, he was the son of Carolyn Watkins Kirkpatrick and the late Lawrence Kirkpatrick.He was a Lieutenant Firefighter & Paramedic for 27 years with the Gwinnett County Fire Services.Don was a member of the Hart County Camp of Gideons International, member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church, a deacon, Sunday School teacher of the Men's 4-7 Class and helped with the Awana's program.
Survivors include his mother: Carolyn W. Kirkpatrick of Dacula; wife: Lisa Haney Kirkpatrick of the home; a son: Jake Kirkpatrick of Hartwell; a grandchild: Bria'na Kirkpatrick; a sister: Lori Kirkpatrick of Hartwell; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 11 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Meeks, Rev. Larry Winn and Chief Steve Rolader speaking.Burial will be in the Kirkpatrick Family Cemetery, Hart Co. GA following the service.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday.The family is at the home.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International, Hart Co. Camp, PO Box 59, Hartwell GA30643 or to the Gwinnett County Fire Employees Benevolence Fund, 408 Hurricane Shoals Rd., Lawrenceville, GA30045.
