Obituary
Mr. Donald Carl "Don" Snyder, 72, of 732 Mustang Field, Hartwell, died Tuesday, December 29 at Hart Co. Hospital.
Born on September 22, 1937 in Massillon Ohio, he was the son of the late Douglas Snyder and Mildred Horst Snyder.He was a retired Managing Editor for the American Ceramic Society.Mr. Snyder was a graduate of De Pauw University, member of Lambda Chi Alpha, a Mason, Member of the Scottish Rite, Knights Templar and Shrine.He was the secretary of the Mustang Field Association and a member of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by:Wife, Kathleen Lewis Synder of the home; Sons, David Snyder and his wife Dori of Springboro, OH and Jeffery Snyder and his wife Trudy of Dacula, GA; Brother, Robert Snyder of Orrville, Oh; and Seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Dr. R. Allen Stewart will officiate.The family is at the home.The family requests no flowers; Memorials may be made to American Lung Association, 2452 Spring Road, Smyrna, GA 30080 or to Hartwell First United Methodist Church, 200 E. Howell Street, Hartwell, GA30643.
