Mr. Don Larry Temples, 87, of Sanders Lane, Hartwell, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital, Athens, GA.
Born on September 13, 1931 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late James Walter "Bud" Temples and Ione Broome Temples.Mr. Temples was a retired painter.
Survivors include one son: Larry Thomas "Tommy" Temples of Hartwell; three brothers: Robert Temples of Pace, FL, Ray Temples, of Anderson SC, Kenneth Temples of Hartwell; six sisters: Gladys Bond of Hartwell, Jan Miller, of Hartwell, Lou Jones of Spartanburg SC, Dot Wicker of Hartwell, Lindy Judy of Greenwood SC, Ruth Dickerson of Hartwell; two grandsons: Alex J. Temples and Justin W. Temples both of Hartwell.Mr. Temples was preceded in death by his wife: Sarah F. Temples; one daughter: Connie T. Thilges; two brothers: James Temples, Roy Temples; and one sister: Martha Morrison.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 10:00- 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning prior to the service.Other times the family will be at their respective homes.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Grant Myerholtz and Mr. Jimmy Myerholtz officiating.Burial will be in the Eternal Hills Memory Garden, Snellville, GA.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
