Mr. Donald Allen, age 57, of 1572 Coldwater Creek Road, Elberton, GA, died Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Emory University Hospital.

Born September 6, 1952 in Waycross, GA, he was the son of the late Elijah Allen and Beatrice Strickland Allen.He was a retired Commercial Truck Driver.

He survived by:Wife, Jackie Parker Allen of the home; Daughters, Melissa D. Greenway of Hartwell, GA, Michelle Stone of Hartwell, GA, Myra Zollner of Elberton, GA of Melissa Stone of Hartwell, GA;Son, Jay Rowland of Hartwell, GA; Brothers, Ronnie, Charlie, Lonnie, Tony Allen all of Waycross, GA; Sisters, Marie Taylor of Waycross, GA and Clara Allen of Blacksheer, GA; Eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.He is preceded in death by Parents; Sons, Joseph Kevin Allen and Christopher Michael Allen; Sister, Terrie Allen, Brother, Richard Allen and grandchild, Erica N. Greenway.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Rev. Curtis Parker will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
