Mr. Donald Wayne "Red" Booth, Sr. 65, of 1233 Fork Creek Rd, Bowman, died Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born April 16, 1945 in Spartanburg, S.C., he was the son of the late Fred Moody Campbell. He was retired from Classic Monuments and was a member of Christian Worship Assembly.
He is survived by; mother, Eloween Booth Campbell, Royston, Ga., son, Donald W. Booth, Jr., of Bowman, Ga., daughter, Crystal Booth, Bowman, Ga., brothers, Al Campbell and Pete Campbell of Royston, Ga., and David Campbell, Bowman, Ga., sister, Loretta Berryman, Madison, Ga. Forty one grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, wife, Ruby Virginia Jones Booth, brother, James M. "Bo" Campbell and sister, Sara Lucille "Sissy" Abercrombie.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. from the Christian Worship Assembly. Rev. Helen Vehe will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at 2:00 p.m. The family is at the home.
