Obituary
Mr. Donald S. Sanders, 74, of Bowersville Hwy, Bowersville, died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born on June 29, 1940 in Hartwell, he was the son of the late James Karo "Corrie" Sanders and Vinnie Scruggs "VB" Sanders.He was retired from the State of Georgia Department of Transportation as a Civil Engineer and Roadway Trucking Company and a member of the Flat Shoals Baptist Church.
Survivors include one sister: Merle C. Sanders of Hartwell and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 2:00 at the Flat Shoals Baptist Church with Rev. Pat Sanders and Rev. Mike Fugate officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Flat Shoals Baptist Church WMU, 2999 Bowersville Hwy, Bowersville, GA 30516.
