Donna Stanley Herring, age 75, of Martin, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital.

Born on August 10, 1949, in Marion, NC, Donna was the daughter of the late Cecil Glen and Jessie Vearl Tinker Stanley. Donna was a dedicated homemaker and a devout member of the Baptist faith.

Donna had a special interest in cosmetology, a field in which she found great joy and creativity. She was renowned among her loved ones for her culinary skills, particularly her family dinners that brought everyone together. Donna's love for music was evident in her passion for singing karaoke and listening to her favorite tunes. She also cherished her visits to the mountains, finding peace and serenity in nature's beauty.

Donna is survived by her loving children: Angela Sewell (John), Donna Harris (Mike), Daryl Blair (Kim Williams), and Johnny Ebersole. Her legacy extends to her grandchildren: Ashley Harris, Lauren Sewell, Brittany Emanuel (Mason), Tyler Blair (Kaley), and Jesse Gibson; and her great-grandchildren: Lilly Harris, Josiah Stewart, Zaylee Mack, Tucker Emanuel, Noah Emanuel, and Briggs Blair. Donna is also survived by her brother: Jerry Stanley and her best friend and caregiver for the past few years, Pat Madore.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Herring, and her sisters & brothers-in-law, Betty & Buddy Hutchins and Carolyn & Joe Suggs.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Charles Rausch officiating. Following the service, Donna will be laid to rest in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North. The family will welcome friends at the funeral home on Friday, starting at 12:30 p.m.

The following gentlemen will honor Donna as pallbearers: John Sewell, Mike Harris, Mason Emanuel, and Robert Whisnant.
