On June 25th, 2024, Donna Faye Vickery Hill was called to her eternal home by her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Her journey of life in this earthly realm has ended, now beginning her journey in her heavenly home.

Born April 1st, 1951, in Anderson, SC, she is the youngest daughter of the late James and Doris Carnes of Elberton GA. She is a graduate of Elbert County High School. She retired from American Laundry & Dry cleaning of Hartwell. She was a faithful member of Colbert Living Waters Holiness Church, where she dedicated her love for the work of the Lord.

In her journey of life, she was blessed with a loving marriage to her late husband Terrel Vickery for 54 years. She was an amazing mother to her four children, a motherly love that was felt by her nieces, nephews and many others. Donna Faye's kind heart extended to those less fortunate, often in unseen ways. She was a fervent prayer warrior, who's desire was to work in serving the Lord daily. Her love for the Lord and family was a divine love that will always be missed.

She is survived by her devoted husband Joe Hill, who she married January 14th, 2023.  Four Children: Gina (Alan) Tolbert, Angie (Kevin) Rowland, Chris Vickery, Leigh Ann (Ryan) Roberts. Grandchildren: Madeline Tolbert, Justin & Luke Rowland, Leigha & Lance Rowland, Jesse Adams, Abel Pilgrim, McKenna Roberts, Elijah, Scarlett & Lux Vickery; Great grandchildren: Kalani Williams; Stepson: David (Karen) Hill, Stepdaughter: Tammy Hill; Step grandchildren: David Joe (Jenna) Hill and grandchildren: Kaden & Kara Hill; Brother: Jimmy (Francise) Carnes; Sisters: Sherry (Larry) Crosby, Sister & Pastor Janice (Delano) Loggins, nieces, nephews and extended family of the church.

She is proceeded in death by her parents James & Doris Carnes, her late husband Terrel Vickery, her sister Shelby Carnes, and brother: Frankie Carnes.

The family will receive friends Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at the home Alan & Gina Tolbert, 1964 Memorial Rd, Canon, GA.

Funeral services for Mrs. Donna Vickery Hill will be held Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Pastor Janice Loggins and Evangelist Kent Phillips officiating. Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.
