Ms. Donna Ruth Long, 73, of Bowen Road, Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at her home.

Born on November 22, 1948 in Waynesville NC, she was the daughter of the late Donald Jay Long and Ruth Evalena Moody Long. Donna received two masters' degrees, one in Education from West Georgia College and one in Library Science from University of South Carolina. She was a retired librarian from Anderson College. She was an active member and past president of the Savannah River Valley Genealogical Society.

She is survived by one nephew: Joe Roberts (Tabitha) of Bristow VA; three nieces: Chris Burbick (David) of Hartwell, Lynn Floyd (Greg) of Indianapolis IN, and Ann Fincher (Michael) of Valley AL. She is also survived by several great nieces, nephews and cousins.Ms. Long was preceded in death by her parents and one sister: Mary Josephine Long Roberts.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Sardis Baptist Church.Other times the family will be at the home.

A memorial service celebrating Donna's life will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sardis Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Kimberly officiating.
