Mr. Donnie Ray Fowler, 57, of Hartwell, passed away Monday, August 3, 2020 at St. Mary's Hospital, Athens GA.
Born on January 12, 1963 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of Roy R. Fowler and the late Dorothy White "Dot" Fowler.He was a powder painter at Carrier Transicold of Athens and of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include his father: Roy Fowler of Hartwell; his wife: Tami Sessions Fowler of Hartwell; two sons: Justin Fowler (Brittany) of Carnesville GA and Rocky Fowler (Hannah) of Lynchburg VA; a step-son: Mark Cantrell (Sarah) of Hartwell; a brother: Tony Fowler of Hartwell; a sister: Sandra Thompson (David) of Hartwell; seven grandchildren: Olivia Fowler, Nolan Fowler, Harlee Fowler, Stella Fowler, Gabrielle Cantrell, Gracelyn Cantrell and Joshua Cantrell also survive.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home.Everyone will be asked to practice Social Distancing.
Funeral services for Mr. Donnie Fowler will be held Friday, August 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Compassion Church, Hartwell with Rev. Randall Starrett and Rev. Grant Myerholtz officiating.Burial will be in the Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery.The family will be at the Teasley House, located beside Hartwell City Hall following the service.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
