Donnie Rayford McCurley

Mr. Donnie Rayford McCurley, 68, of Royston, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 27, 2026 surrounded by his family at the Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

Born on September 10, 1957, in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Rayford McCurley and Shirley Lee Spears McCurley. Mr. McCurley was the co-owner & operator of Smith Home & Auto Glass, and he was of the Holiness Faith.

Survivors include his wife: Leisa Smith McCurley; son: Jeremy McCurley of Royston; daughter: Heather McCurley of Hartwell; and one grandchild: Jacelyn Deaton. Mr. McCurley was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Sandy McCurley; and one grandson.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. At other times, the family will be at the home.

Funeral Services for Mr. Donnie McCurley will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home. It was Mr. McCurley’s wishes to be cremated following the service.

Flowers are optional, and memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is assisting the family with all of the arrangements.
