Mrs. Doris Ann Herring, age 53, of 123 Stonebridge Cove Way, Lavonia, died May 4, 2007 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born August 15, 1953, in Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late Sam Buffington and Bonnie Adams Buffington. She was a homemaker and attended the Shoal Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Herring is survived by her mother: son: Jason Herring of Lavonia; son and daughter-in-law Lamar and Jacqueline Herring of Lavonia; daughter and son-in-law Laura Ann and Tony Shirley of Lavonia; brother and sister-on-law: Maurice and Sharon Buffington of Lavonia; brother: Tommy Buffington of Lavonia; and 4 grandchildren: Brian and Dale Shirley, Paige Herring, and Hannah Lee. She was preceded in death by her husband: Jesse Holland.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2007 at Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Burial in Burgess ~ Lavonia City Cemetery.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
