Ms. Doris Gunter Jordan, 88, of Clyde Circle, Hartwell, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at Hart Care Center, Hartwell.

Born on May 20, 1928 in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Ellis G. Gunter and Jessie Moore Gunter.Ms. Jordan was a home maker and a member of the Milltown Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters: Patricia Stamey and her husband Kenneth, Peggy Fountain, both of Anderson, Pam Laviolette and her husband Faron of Hartwell; four grandchildren: Dr. Christopher Stamey, Isaac Temple, Casey Laviolette, Daniel Laviolette;five great-grandchildren: Ciara Temple, Kale Temple, Harper Stamey, Corbin Stamey and Kacen Temple and one sister: Louise G. Jones of Anderson.Ms. Jordan was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at 2:00 pm at the Milltown Baptist Church with Rev.Ken Brewer officiating.Burial will be in the Milltown Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at Milltown Baptist Church.The family is at their respective homes.Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to the Milltown Baptist Church, 151 Fleming Circle, Hartwell GA 30643.
