Obituary
Doris Roling Owens, 64, wife of Wayne Owens of 3621 GA Hwy 59, Lavonia, GA, died Friday, March 30, 2007 at her home.
Born in Franklin County, on February 23, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Theodore Roling and the late Elizabeth Rhinehart Roling.She was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Owens is survived by her husband, Wayne Owens, of the home, son, Mark Owens, of Lavonia, GA, daughter, Traci Owens Shingleton of Lexington, SC, and five grandchildren.She is also survived by a sister, Sarah Hudgins of Oxford GA and brother, M.L. Roling of Lavonia, GA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Mary Alice Norton and brother, Talmadge Roling.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 2, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. in the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Bielski and Dr. Ross Layne officiating.Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North.
The family is at the home and will receive visitors at the funeral home from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday, April 1, 2007.
