Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Campbell Corn, 78, of 96 Lanier Street, Hartwell, died, Saturday, April 06, 2013 at AnMed Health Medical Center, Anderson.
Born on March 16, 1935 in Franklin County GA, she was the daughter of the late Sida D. "S.D." Campbell and Rebecca Sudberry Campbell.She retired from the Hartwell Company as a seamstress and was a former manager of Sky City.She was a member of the Flat Shoals Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Timothy F. Corn and his wife Connie of Hartwell; three sisters, Maybell Vickery, Brenda Carey and Shirley Freeman all of Bowersville; five brothers, James Campbell of Royston, Frank Campbell and Tommy Campbell both of Hartwell, George Campbell of Clarkesville and Billy Ray Campbell of Dewy Rose; one grandchild and four great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Corn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J. Frank Corn; a sister, Betty Lee and two brothers, William Campbell and Sida D. Campbell Jr.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 8 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Fugate officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday afternoon before the service. The family is at their respective homes.
