Mrs. Dorothy Outz Floyd, age 78, of 3688 Transco Road, Comer, GA, died Thursday, December 3, 2009 at her home.

Born January 29, 1931 in Hart County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Monroe Outz and Estelle Hyde Outz.She was of the Holiness Faith.

She is survived by:Sons, Charlie Floyd and his wife Sherri of Dewy Rose, GA; Daughters, Barbara Carey and her husband Larry of Hartwell, GA and Diane Massey and her husband Ed of Bowman, GA; Three stepsons, Wayne Lawrence of Abbeville, David Lawrence and his wife Laura of Abbeville, SC, and Shane Lawrence of Walterboro, GA; Two sisters, Martha Youngblood of Royston, GA and Tommie Randall of Hartwell, GA; Twelve grandchildren, three step grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren also survives.She is preceded in death by Parents; 1st husband Lester Floyd; 2nd husband John C. Lawrence; Grandson, Keith Floyd; Brothers, Ed, Andy, Tony and Joe Outz and a Sister Lucy Outz

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Johnny Stowe and Mr. Fred Greenway will officiate.Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.The family is at the home of Ed & Diane Massey, 1919 Massey Road, Bowman, GA.
