Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Irvin Long, age 87, of Cornelia, died Wednesday, August 20 at Habersham County Medical Center.
Born January 31, 1927 in Skitts Mountain, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Mellie (Satterfield) Irvin.She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: William Clifton Long, Sr.; sons: Ray Clifton Long, Wilburn C. "Wayne" Long and William C. "Billy" Long, Jr. and 1 grandchild.
She is survived by sons: Bobby Long & Kathy of Alto & Robert Irvin and Vickie of Dahlonega; daughters: Elaine Canady of Toccoa, Doris Batson & Chester of Banks County, & Teresa Wade & Buster of Cornelia;10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2014 at Yonah Memorial Gardens in Demorest with Rev. Mickey Umbehant officiating.
